For private access, self-refer to an HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist who provides adult cognitive assessment for your purpose—cognitive profile, diagnosis-related assessment, reasonable-adjustment, employment, or legal documentation.
NHS neuropsychology provides assessment through service-specific clinical referral pathways based on clinical need and local eligibility. Private assessment is the direct route for purchasing a defined WAIS service.

WAIS-5 UK is available, but provider migration takes time
WAIS-5 UK paper kits launched on 14 August 2026. Q-global scoring is scheduled for 24 September and Q-interactive administration for 12 November 2026. Some providers may continue to use WAIS-IV UK while they obtain materials, complete training, and update their workflow.
After intake, the psychologist administers the test one-to-one, interprets the scores, gives feedback, and issues the signed report. The digital rollout changes the professional scoring and administration format; it does not turn WAIS into a self-administered online test.
