Choose supervised testing or prior evidence
British Mensa uses the top-2% standard for admission. Its published routes include a supervised IQ test and assessment of prior evidence from an accepted professional test.

The supervised tests are available to applicants over 10 years 6 months. An official gift voucher for a supervised test is also GBP 49. Test, Home Test, evidence-review, and membership payments are separate; British Mensa publishes Adult, Youth, and Joint membership options. Confirm result delivery and the current retest rule in the selected live booking route.
Prior evidence must meet British Mensa's current rules
British Mensa decides which professional tests, scores, and documents are acceptable. Before paying for WAIS or another assessment primarily for membership, ask:
- whether the exact test edition and qualifying score are accepted;
- which examiner details, signatures, or document format are required; and
- whether age or recency conditions apply.
British Mensa makes the admission decision. A formal assessment may also serve clinical, educational, workplace, or self-understanding goals independently of Mensa.
The official supervised online route is different from a browser score
British Mensa's supervised online test counts because the organization authorizes and supervises it. A self-administered consumer IQ score, certificate, or Home Test result does not take its place.
