Choose the MSAT or an approved external score
Mensa Singapore uses the 98th-percentile standard and accepts applicants through the Mensa Singapore Admission Test, or MSAT, or an approved external test score.
The MSAT is available from age 14 and costs SGD 65, or SGD 45 for students and full-time National Servicemen. Results normally take three to eight weeks and do not include a numerical IQ score. An applicant cannot retake the MSAT within 12 months, and the test can be attempted no more than twice.
Applicants under 14 use the external-score route. Older applicants can also use an eligible professionally administered result.
Testing and membership are separate payments
The MSAT fee covers admission testing. Mensa Singapore publishes separate information about membership fees, entrance-fee waivers, and subsidised membership on its membership-fee page.
External scores need approval under current rules
Mensa Singapore decides which external tests, scores, administration conditions, and documents it accepts. Confirm the test and edition, qualifying composite or percentile, age when tested, examiner details, document format, recency, and application payment before arranging or submitting an assessment.
