Intelligence assessments are available for INR 5,000–7,000
HPTRC lists intelligence and IQ assessment at INR 5,000–7,000. Aarohan Mental Health Clinic charges clients in India INR 8,500 for an intelligence and learning assessment. Depending on age, it uses WAIS or WISC alongside academic and learning assessment, cognitive-profile analysis, and a school report.
The second package also covers learning. When the goal is simply to understand IQ and the cognitive profile, a full learning-disability assessment is not required. HPTRC’s fee schedule does not specify which intelligence test is used, so INR 5,000–7,000 serves as an example of the general price level. Allowing for an initial consultation and post-test feedback gives an estimated private budget of INR 5,000–10,000.
Where to take the WAIS in India explains the different private and clinical routes.
IHBAS provides clinical psychology services without user charges
At the clinical psychology department at IHBAS in Delhi, user charges are waived under government policy. This is a public route in which symptoms and difficulties in daily life are assessed and the necessary psychological evaluation is provided.
Private assessment at INR 5,000–10,000 and assessment through a public clinical service are two routes with very different costs. The public route centres on clinically necessary assessment. Private services, by contrast, can be booked specifically for a WAIS-based assessment aimed at self-understanding.
Indian WAIS result timing explains how the route affects the time to feedback and the signed report.
