Most private WAIS reports take one to two weeks
| Assessment scope | Practical time after final testing |
|---|---|
| Provider-specific fast service | As fast as 48 hours; some services quote 7 working days |
| Common focused private report | About 1–2 weeks |
| Complex or formal-use report | About 2–4 weeks |
A 48-hour turnaround is a paid exception. Most complete workflows take longer, and additional tests, records, report depth, and formal documentation create the longer two-to-four-week turnaround. The booking wait occurs before testing; the Australian access guide explains that route.
Preliminary feedback and the signed report may arrive separately
Immediate or preliminary feedback can precede the signed report. A diagnosis, NDIS or educational document, legal opinion, or decision by the receiving body can follow later.
For self-understanding, feedback may be the meaningful result date. For formal submission, use the signed report as the assessment completion point. Australian WAIS costs explains package differences, and how to read WAIS results explains the scores.
